What we collect, and why

The Maruti Public Charitable Trust collects personal information only when you give it to us for a specific purpose: responding to an enquiry, processing a volunteer or job application, processing an application under an assistance scheme, or issuing a donation receipt. Each form states what it collects and why. We do not collect more than the stated purpose requires.

Consent

We ask for consent separately for each distinct use. In particular, consent to use your information to process an application is always separate from consent to feature you in the trust's publicity. For anyone under 18, we require the consent of a parent or guardian.

Retention

Application records carry a retention date and are deleted once it passes. We store a one-way hash of IP addresses for abuse prevention — never the raw address. Location metadata is stripped from photographs before storage.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only where the law requires — for example, donor details in statutory filings such as Form 10BD — or with service providers strictly needed to operate this website.
